There are two ways to install the plugin.

Option 1: WordPress Plugin Uploader

You can install Scratch Coupon Card via the WordPress plugin uploader without unzipping the file. If the file that you downloaded from CodeCanyon does not seem to be a zip file, it means that your browser is automatically unzipping it when the download completes.

1. 1. Log into your WordPress admin panel
2. 2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New
3. 3. Click Upload Plugin

1. 4. Click Choose File and select the Scratch Coupon Card plugin package zip.
2. 5. Click Install Now.
3. 6. Complete the installation process as directed by WordPress and Activate the plugin.

Option 2: FTP

You can also install Scratch Coupon Card via FTP.

1. 1. Decompress the .zip file you downloaded from CodeCanyon.
2. 2. Find the scratch-coupon-card folder (this directory is created when you unzip the file).
3. 3. Upload the scratch-coupon-card folder to your wp-content/plugins directory.
4. 4. Navigate to your Control Panel: Plugins
5. 5. Under Scratch Coupon Card, click Activate

Installing updates just involves replacing the old plugin files with the new ones. It's always a good idea to back everything up before you upgrade (plugin directory & database), especially if you have made any changes to scratch-coupon-card’s files, as the upgrade will overwrite all files.

How to get updates

To download the updated plugin zip, go to your CodeCanyon Downloads page and re-download the file. This will always give you the latest version of the plugin.

Backing Up

1. 1. It is always a good idea to back up your plugin before making any changes.
2. 2. Open your FTP program and FTP into your site and navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory
3. 3. Download the scratch-coupon-card folder and save it as a backup.
4. 4. If you have edited any files, you should back up these files

Standard Update Instructions

1. 1. Download the new version of the plugin from CodeCanyon (the latest version can always be found on your CodeCanyon Downloads page.
2. 2. In your browser, log into the WordPress control panel.
3. 3. Navigate to Plugins.
4. 4. Deactivate Scratch Coupon Card (optional, but generally a good idea, especially if you are deleting the old version in step 6)
5. 5. Switch to your FTP program, FTP into your site and navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
6. 6. After backing up delete Scratch Coupon Card (the entire scratch-coupon-card folder). Strictly speaking, this is optional, but makes the upload process more straightforward. You can also overwrite the old files if you prefer. (Please check for version-specific upgrade instructions; sometimes a deletion is strongly recommended).
7. 7. On your desktop, extract the zip file you downloaded from CodeCanyon.
8. 8. The archive unzips to a new scratch-coupon-card/ directory.
9. 9. FTP the new scratch-coupon-card/ folder into the wp-content/plugins directory on your server.
10. 10. Ensure that your permissions are set properly on the plugins/scratch-coupon-card directory. If your server can’t read the files, you might run into errors. This can happen depending on how your FTP account is set up.
11. 11. Switch back to your browser and go back to the Plugins panel
12. 12. Reactivate Scratch Coupon Card by clicking Activate

Navigate to your Control Panel: Scratch Coupon Card

1. General Settings

• Enable: Enable/Disable plugin
• Html Content: This HTML content display in the popup. You can use {couponcode} and {description} variable in this.

  {couponcode} - Display Coupon Code in popup which are selected from settings

  {description} - Display Coupon Code Description in popup which are selected from settings

• Content CSS: Enter Custom CSS
• Set Cookie: Enter the Cookie value in the seconds. this value is used for delay popup for next time open in the same browser. if you want to open a popup once a day enters value "86400". if you want to open popup every hour then enter "3600"
• Select Coupon Code For Popup: Here admin can select coupons code which is used to display in popup in front-end. if admin can select multiple coupons then display random coupons from selected.
  NOTE: If the selected coupon is expired then it automatic remove from the list and this coupon is not displayed in front-end

• Scratch Coupon Card popup Display On: Here admin can select pages where admin want to open a popup in front-end

2. Cover Images

• These images are used as a cover image in a popup. the system picks one random image from selected images. If you don't select the Cover image then pick a random image from default images.
